Value of the Investment: HRK 10.59 million. Short Description of the Building: The design of Vrtuljak Kindergarten in Marčana nearby Pula. The surface area of the building amounts to 1,140 m2. The kindergarten was designed as a day care service for crèche and preschool children. The kindergarten hosts a kitchen with the associated storage, sanitation and plumbing solutions, a multipurpose area, classrooms, cloakrooms and toilets for children, offices, etc. The building features a basement, ground floor and first floor. The basement structure is reinforced concrete made of waterproof concrete with Xypex Admix without the use of external waterproofing. The ground floor and first floor are constructed from vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete cornices and beams with 25 cm thick Porotherm blocks as filling. The reinforced concrete slabs are installed as flat or tilted 25 cm thick solid reinforced concrete slabs. The building envelope is constructed as a 15 cm thick ETICS contact façade. The building has a partly flat and partly tilted roof covered with roof tiles and 16 cm thermal insulation.
